The shipping cost will be displayed in the cart based on the weight of the order

Light acidic peat fraction 0–20 mm, pH value 3.8–4.0 in H₂O, with the addition of a wetting agent, is intended as a basic substrate for plants that require an acidic environment. The fine structure enables good moisture retention and easier water absorption, creating favorable conditions for the rooting and growth of acidophilic plants.

For larger quantities, it is possible to order in packages of 70, 250 and 5500 liters.

Can be ordered in fractions 0-20mm, 10-30mm, 0-40mm and 20-40mm with acidic or regulated pH as well as with or without wetting agent.

FAQ

What is light acid peat for?

Light acidic peat is intended as a basic substrate for plants that require an acidic environment, such as rhododendrons, azaleas, blueberries and other acidophilic crops.

What is the pH value of peat and why is it important?

The pH value of peat is 3.8–4.0 (measured in HO), which is ideal for acidophilic plants. The acidic environment enables optimal uptake of nutrients and healthy root development.

What does light acid peat contain?

Light acid peat fraction 0-20 mm contains a humectant additive, which helps to absorb and retain water evenly, creating a stable and favorable environment for plant growth.

What is the role of the fine fraction of peat?

The fine structure enables good moisture retention and easier water absorption, which contributes to successful rooting and plant development.

Can light acid peat be used for all plants?

No. This peat is especially intended for acidophilic plants and is not suitable for plants that require neutral or slightly alkaline soil.

Is the peat ready for use?

Most often, it is not planted directly in peat. In pure acid peat, there are no NPK fertilizers added, and as such peat is most often used as a base for mixing with other substances in order to obtain a finished substrate.
